School Minibus Drivers ​
​Help make a real difference to children’s lives as a School Transport Minibus Driver.
These positions offer great job satisfaction, in a caring transport environment which helps children with special needs to and from school. Staff are subject to a DBS Check being carried out. We are recruiting for a Home to School Minibus Driver in the Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Forest of Dean areas.
Drivers must hold a Tewkesbury Borough Council Private Hire Licence, or be prepared to obtain one. We will support you through the application process, and reimburse you once successful.
These roles provide significant job satisfaction through working as a team and assisting children and adults with disabilities to attend school or day centres, and to help them to achieve their full potential in life. Each Driver is supported by a Passenger Care Assistant.
These rewarding roles operate in school term time only - around 40 weeks per annum.
Roles are generally part time and operate between the hours of approx. 07:30 – 09:00 and 14:30 -16:30 and operate only in school term times.
Job duties and responsibilities:

Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting

Collecting students or adults from pickup points and transporting them to and from school

Operating a reliable and punctual service

Keeping the minibus clean and tidy

Monitoring student behaviour and reporting any problems

An enhanced DBS and first aid training is required (which we can support)
For insurance purposes our drivers must have at least 3 years driving experience. You must have a clean driving licence.


School Transport Passenger Assistant ​
Help make a real difference to children’s lives as a School Transport Passenger Assistant.​ These positions offer great job satisfaction, in a caring transport environment which helps children with special needs to and from school. Staff are subject to a DBS Check being carried out. We are recruiting for a Home to School Passenger Assistant in the Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Forest of Dean areas.
Passenger Assistants are collected by their regular driver each morning and afternoon, so holding a driving licence or having own transport is not required.
These roles provide significant job satisfaction through working as a team and assisting children and adults with disabilities to attend school or day centres, and to help them to achieve their full potential in life. These rewarding roles operate in school term time only - around 40 weeks per annum. Roles are generally part time and operate between the hours of approx. 07:30 – 09:00 and 14:30 -16:00 and operate only in school term times.
